CHURCH MINISTRIES

Sanctuary Choir: The Word and Worship Sanctuary Choir rehearses every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. There is also a rehearsal on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m., for those who are unable to make the Tuesday evening rehearsal. We are always in search of a few good voices and would love for you to join us at rehearsal.

Videography: The video ministry helps to capture all of our memorable moments at Word and Worship on film. This ministry records all services and special events that occur at the church. There is always a need for assistance in the video ministry, so that the cameras are always rolling. No special training is needed to operate the equipment, just a willingness to serve. Your involvement will document our history for years to come.

Goodfellas:The Goodfellas Ministry is open to all boys and young men ages 5 -18. The purpose of the ministry is to provide mentoring to these individuals so that they will grow in Christ and become strong, well rounded adults. The Goodfellas meet every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.

Phenom: The Phenom Ministry is another boys mentoring program open to all boys and young men ages 5-18. This ministry focuses on reading comprehension, vocabulary development and public speaking. Phenom meets every Tuesday at 6:00pm.

Sweethearts:The Sweethearts Ministry is a mentoring program open to young ladies ages 13-17. The mission of this ministry is to enhance the spiritual growth of young girls so that they will become respectable and productive women of God. They promote the importance of morals, values, dignity, principles, initiative, integrity, etiquette, and love and respect for family. The ministry meets every Monday at 6:00 p.m.

Drama Ministry:The purpose of the ministry is to work toward the completion of plays to be presented during Holy Week and the Month of December. The Drama Ministry meets every Monday night at 6:00 p.m.

Girls Dance Ministry: The Girls Dance Ministry is open to girls ages 3-11 and meets every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. This ministry seeks to enhance the spiritual development of young girls by learning to praise God through the art of dance.

Teen Dance Ministry: The Teen Dance Ministry is open to young ladies ages 12-17 and meets every Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. This ministry seeks to enhance the spiritual development of our teens by learning to praise God through the art of dance.

Adult Dance Ministry: The Adult Dance Ministry is open to all ladies ages twenty-one and above. The ministry meets each Friday night at 6:00 p.m.

Mime and Dance Ministry: The Mime and Dance Ministry is open to anyone who has an interest in praising God through the arts. The ministry meets each Thursday at 6:00 p.m.

Parking Lot Ministry:The Parking Lot Ministry was developed to assist and guide individuals while parking on the church lot. The mission is to also serve as a welcoming committee for everyone who enters the Word and Worship campus.

W.A.R. ll: The Women About Recovery Ministry was developed to help women maintain sobriety. The ministry is headed by Ms. Patricia Williams and meets Thursday evenings at 6:00 p.m.

*There are many more committees and opportunities for involvement in the church that might not be listed on this sheet. These are simply a list of the ministries that meet on a weekly basis. If you would like to become involved with any ministry, or have an idea that you would like to see developed through the church, please contact the church office for more information.
